Iran’s children filmfest to present ‘Echo’

The 33rd Int’l Film Festival for Children and Youth in Iran is to screen ‘Echo’.

The 33rd edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth (ICFF) in Iran has scheduled to screen ‘Echo’.

Directed by Barzan Rostami, the 7-minute animation is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse, as well as its consequences on the human race.

The film has been showcased at a number of global events, including the R.E.D International Film Festival in Norway, the Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US, and the International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

The film won an award for Best Short Film at the Southern Cone International Film Festival in Mexico and the 13th Smaragdni eco film festival in Croatia honored the flick with its best animation award.

Most recently, ‘Echo’ won the Best Sound Designing award at the 7th Pink City International Short Film Festival in India and the Special Jury Prize at the 18th biannual Włodzimierz Puchalski International Nature Film Festival in Poland.

Established in 1982, the ICFF is an annual film festival held in the historic city of Isfahan, Iran.

A wide range of quality features, short and animation films from all around the world will be displayed at the event.

Additionally, daily workshops, panels, and lectures by well-known Iranian and International cinematic figures are held at the event.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak and based on a multimedia agreement made by the Iranian Cinema Organization, Farabi Cinematic Foundation, and Isfahan Municipality, this edition of the festival will be held online on October 18-23, 2020.
